Ms. Ying Wang
Ms. Ying WangMember of Board of Directors, Chongqing Lummy Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.
Ms. Ying Wang has been on the Board of Directors at Chongqing Lummy Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. since Jan. 2014. During her thirteen years at this company, Ms. Wang has successfully lead most of the medicine registration projects and new medicine research. She was in charge of a majority of the company’s clinical research and product registration. Ms. Wang has extensive experience in drug development and clinical research management. From 2007-2015, she was the Director of New Medicine Registration Department, Director of Clinical Testing Department and Director of Technical Coordination Department in Chongqing Lummy Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. From 2000-2006, she was the Director of New Medicine Registration Department in Chengdu Pharmmate Technology Co., Ltd. From 1988-2000, she was the physical and chemical analyst in Disease Control and Prevention Center of Chengdu Railway.
Dr. Steven Yu
Dr. Steven Yu President of SAPA-CT and Principal Scientist in New Biological Entities group at Boehringer Ingelheim
He is responsible for PK/PD evaluation of BI’s large molecule pipelines. He was a Senior Scientist in PKDM department at Amgen (2006–2014). He was an Associate researcher (1989-1994) at Institute of Blood Transfusion, Chinese Academy of Medical Science, established affinity chromatographic methods for purification of human blood coagulation factors.
Dr. Yu received a BA degree in Microbiology from Sichuan University, China in 1989, a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from Loma Linda University, USA in 2001, and a MBA degree in Global Business from Pepperdine University, USA in 2010. He was trained as a Post-doctoral Fellow (2001-2004) at Center for Molecular Biology & Gene Therapy, Loma Linda University. Dr. Yu is the president of SAPA-CT(2016-2017), and was the Director of SAPA-CT Communication Group(2015-2016).
Dr. Zhang Yun

He used to work with the Chinese Patent Examination Cooperation Center of the Sate Intellectual Property Office. Now is in Charge of the Chongqing Lummy Pharmaceutical Company’s IP evaluation, and the full scope of IP related activities, from IP infringement evaluation, patent warning, the litigation and the IP application. Mr. Zhang has a PhD from the Institute of Semiconductor, Chinese academy of Science.
Ruobing Xia
Ruobing XiaPresident and Co-Founder of Life Science Quest
Ruobing Xia oversees global strategy, business development, and commercial operations. Previously, she had a progressive career working with Eli Lilly and Company and Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc and managed a product launch and promotional budget of over hundred million USD. Her contributions spanned many cross-functional areas including sales and marketing strategy, product launches, business development and licensing, all informed by her early career in foreign trade, international banking, finance, and venture development. Ruobing holds Masters degrees in International Affairs (finance) from Columbia University in New York City and Business Administration from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Program Summary

The conference is tailored for Scientists, Entrepreneurs and IP Professionals who are invested in securing their IP portfolios worldwide, featuring China. Chinese investors will also be present for Startup companies seeking cooperation, opportunities and funding. This will be an exciting event for Westchester and New York!

A featured speaker is Ms. Ying Wang, a Member of the Board of Directors of Chongqing Lummy Pharmaceutical Co., LTD. Ms. Wang is also an executive in a Hong Kong registered investment fund. Ms. Ying Wang, together, with Dr. Zhang Yun, a Chinese IP expert will explore prospective investment and commercialization opportunities in the US.

In addition, Dr. Steven Yu, will represent China IP Warning Consulting group to share insights on how to best protect your IP in China regardless of whether you will launch your product there or not.

The program will also feature a local entrepreneur, Dr. Julia Ovchinnikova who will offer a crash course on business model development; Ms. Roubing Xia who will share her insights on Life Science start-up opportunities in the US and China; Mr. Les Neumann, Managing Director of iCANny will provide an overview of incubation/acceleration and commercialization opportunities in the greater Hudson Valley; and Ms. Randi Schwartz and Dr. Douglas Miller representing the Westchester based New York Medical College BioInc incubator who will speak to collaboration with New York Medical College and its incubation facilities can add significant value to Chinese commercialization prospects.
